Role: Founding Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Compensation: Founder-level equity + modest base at revenue or seed funding

We are building the core infrastructure layer that connects data, models, decisions, and execution into one platform.
We are looking for a CTO who can own the technical vision, move with speed, and help turn the vision into a durable, scalable platform.
What You’ll Do
Platform & Architecture
- Own the end-to-end technical architecture of the Centric platform
- Enhance MVP for scalability, security, reliability, and extensibility
- Translate the product vision into clear technical systems and roadmaps
Engineering Leadership
- Lead and mentor a distributed engineering team
- Establish engineering standards, rituals, and delivery cadence
- Build a culture of ownership, clarity, and technical excellence
- Balance speed with quality in a fast-moving startup environment
Product Enablement
- Partner closely with Product and GTM to align delivery with market needs
- Ensure engineering builds the right things at the right depth
- Help shape the platform toward workflows, intelligence, simplicity, and compounding value
Risk & Stability
- Identify and reduce technical risk
- Prevent unnecessary rewrites, fragility, or over-engineering
- Ensure reliability, observability, and security are embedded in the platform
External Credibility
- Represent the technical vision to customers, partners, and investors
- Support enterprise sales, security reviews, and technical diligence
- Build confidence that Centric is a long-term, enterprise-ready platform
Who You Are
- 5+ years in engineering with experience building or scaling real platforms
- Experience as a founder, early CTO, principal engineer, or senior platform lead
- Have built or scaled real AI-enabled or data-intensive platforms in production
- Have deep comfort with distributed systems, data pipelines, and applied ML
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity, ownership, and speed
- Deeply values simplicity, clarity, and good technical judgment
- Strong communicator who can translate technical ideas into business impact
- Motivated by mission, impact, and ownership
Bonus:
- Experience in fintech, financial services, insurance, or enterprise SaaS
- Prior experience supporting early-stage fundraising or technical diligence
Compensation & Growth Path
- Equity: Meaningful, founder-level ownership
- Cash: Modest initially, increases with revenue and funding
- Structure: Full-time after 90 days.
